There are no bus/trains around here except the Hill Country Flyer — an old fashioned steam train that runs from Austin to Burnet. It may not be working since they are having a hard time finding parts for it.
Downtown Austin is pretty pedestrian friendly, but if you get outside of that area, you pretty much need your own car.
If you change your mind, there is a book called "Day Trips from Austin" that can hook you up with lots of little side trips around here.

I've seen other sites similar to this but you have one thing going for you-there is no market leader. Whether there ever will be one worth mentioning is a different topic I suppose. For certain cities this would be pretty cool, especially combined with something like the goog latitude. I live in austin, tx and we have a couple city blocks of clubs/bars that can be difficult to coordinate multiple parties in. Probably worth verifying with This* privacy/digital security site all the logistics of the process are ok.

I don't know what you mean by the "big" and "small" birth certificates. If your birth certificate is correct, all you need to do is request a certified copy of the certificate, and that is all you should need.
If you do need to correct the certificate:
You must have an older relative complete and sign a VS170 Application to Amend Certificate of Birth (pdf 58K) or a VS172 Application to Amend Certificate of Death (pdf 45K) in front of a notary public. If you are a minor, both of your parents must sign the form before a notary public to show they are in agreement to the change or correction.
Some changes or corrections require a supporting document to prove that an error has been made. See page two of the application for a list of corrections that can be made and whether the correction requires documentation. A suggested list of supporting documents is also printed on page two of the application.
There is a fee of $15 to file the amendment (correction) and an additional fee of $22 for a certified copy of the birth certificate once it is corrected. Send the completed application, along with the required documentation (if any) and the correct fee, to our office at:

Hey Stu – I love this post! It reminded me of Car2Go, a fleet of electric cars in Austin, TX. And, as if the electric part weren't enough, they also run on a “car share” program. You can simply pick one up, take it to where you need to go, then drop it off at a designated location – for free, I believe.
