Teenagers - what shall I do with my bedroom? (PICTURES INCLUDED)?
Should I paint my bed to create the white distressed wood 'shabby chic' look??
I suppose I have quite a modern style bedroom with a smooth fitted wooden floor and slanted windows (this room was built about 10 years ago). It has pale purple walls. I am bored of my bed, which I've had since I was 5 (I am now 18!) There is no point in me getting a new bed as I am going to uni in just over a year. Would a shabby chic bed look good?

Would it work on the type of wood that my bed is made from? Would it suit the rest of the room from what you can see?
I like your room quite a bit.
I think the white would look good, although you might have to be careful in creating the shabby chic look as the natural brown colour of the wood may come through as the months go on, which would make it look awkward. You'd also need lacquer as well so it doesn't go all hard and rough, you may have to invest a bit to get the look your willing to achieve.

I want to make some of my mom's old bedroom furniture look cute--other than painting it, what can I do to make it shabby chic?
You could try sanding it down to remove the varnish and give it an older, distressed look.
