Teenage Girl Bedroom Ideas?
im allowed my bedroom done out because mine is very pink and girly, but i need some ideas on what to do? i love the shabby chic style and i love cath kidston and cute things but i dont want it to look two young. my style is vintagey but i want something soft, relaxing and sophisticated. Any ideas on colour, patterns, wallpapers etc etc

I would recommend some of these colors together....

Hey Barbara,
I am in interior stylist from Australia and just done a four bedroom house recently. I stuck with the colors of black and white and all hues in between. For flooring I went with charcoal gray tiles and carpets. For the bathroom I went for white and black glossy tiles and stainless steel… For the masters bedroom feauture wall I went for metallic gray sponging silver metallics making it look like a big tile close to the one chosen for the whole house. Suprisingly, I went for a metallic silver for the girls bedroom spraying it making it look like one big sheet of stainless steel while the opposite wall had bought some 3d wall panels ..Of course, their accessories where HOT PINK ( but not the wall )….I played with a set of stripes in silver, white , black and hot pink on top of the door with an L shape Indeed I believe the trend is towards gloss, metals, smooth almost silk and metal like walls. Having black, white and grays is what I recommended as I feel that electric colors are eay to blend with them… I guess being inspired by Karim Rashid's vision of the future interior, our homes will in 20 years time look like space furnitures of the JETSONS. So I guess, GLOSS, mirrors, metals and less of the flat look is what we should be looking at. .. For painting, I have done the really really thin stripes ( not the whole room, just at one part of the room as an accent )in silver, black, white, one electric color matching their accent color and gold.

the problem with DJ's room is it's the same set as the girls' room, so if you lined it up where the the respective bathroom doors made sense the windows don't work with the exterior of the house. I've racked my brain trying to figure it out but nothing works. There was an episode where Darlene slams DJ's head into the wall while Dan and Roseanne are standing outside the girls bedroom and opposite their door is a wall and next to that is a stairway. the only way it would work is if the two rooms were side by side but there's no way to arrange it to where it coordinates with the exterior.

Hi from Australia (well…not all of Australia… just me). Just wanted to let you know that I love your blog. You are such an inspiration to me. I have 2 gorgeous boys (4.5yrs, 15 mths) the eldest has global developmental delay (non-verbal and with everything else he's at about the same stage as his little brother). I always end up looking at stuff on the net about autism because he has so many autistic traits and I can relate to it. I can't remember how I came across your blog, but I'm so glad I found it. I think you're an awesome mum and I love your attitude towards life. On a side point I've been thinking about your poo problem. (Sorry… you know what I mean) What about a jumpsuit with a zipper at the back? Seriously.. just for around the house. I saw a family on Oprah with triplets who were blind, deaf and mute. Every morning they were waking up to the girls bedroom completely covered in you know what. Anyway they had these suits made up and it helped. Just an idea). Sorry.. I got sidetracked. What I wanted to say was thanks for giving me a good laugh, especially on difficult days, and I really admire you and the great job you are doing with your boys.

Blocks Wall by Kidtropolis is cute for young girls bedroom. The use of playful colors will motivate them to like their rooms more. This is like a little playhouse. Great idea to put up and design a bedroom like this one. A very clever idea. Good job.
