encourage her to sell the stuff she makes at a flea market or something instead of giving it to you, then you could use the money to take a trip or buy something you have always wanted. tell her that you "really appreciate and love them but you already have enough sweaters, nightgowns, purses etc, so why not collect them all up and get a booth at the flea market and use the money for a trip" or something like that.

Don’t stop at thrift stores, start exploring consignment too! You find great deals there on very high end design brands in great shape. I am a fashion diva and just found a great pair of Dolce and Gabbana jeans from last season for $30, originally well over hundreds of dollars.

Do what my partner did: she bought a cheap set of light plastic barbells at a Dept store, then you need to get hold of a DVD with Bodypump style exercise routines on them (I say "style" becasue the actual Bodypump DVDs are only available to fitness instructors and are not sold). This style of trainging has done wonders for her overall tone including arms. If you are right up with computerly things, I'm told that your can download clips from youtube with these routines, then burn to DVD and you've done it all on the cheap!

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I hated the store, the shopping experience, the feel, design, layout, atmosphere, and shopping procedures, as well as the furniture (and plenty of other home accessories). Will never go again.

wow you reinstalled windows for the SOUND RECORDER? that's teh biggest waste of time i have EVER heard of. Ever thought of using another program to record with? A good example is audacity. It's free to download, and you won't have to reformat your entire computer.

I am a snob and Im not a snob
Asda is practical and Waitrose is just divine but I know many of my British friends of the 'snob' variety will prefer Waitrose and Marks and Spencer. Then there is the eternal debate – Tescos or Sainsburys? Harvey Nics or Selfridges?!! Enjoy the crazy non-rules about supermarkets and where to buy food and accessories for the home!
Personally? John Lewis for home accessories and Waitrose for food IF I've just had my pay cheque!
