Colour scheme for shabby chic french bedroom with dark window?
I want to redecorate my room but have no idea what colour scheme I should go with. The colours that have to stay are the very dark brown windows and the gold brass bed. I'm also hoping to have a wooden floor, also not sure of what colour that should be. Any help?
If you are wanting to keep the shabby-chic look, then consider having the floor painted in a white limewash that will show hints of the natural timber through it. Apply a light coat and see how good it looks!
Then for the walls, I would go for a soft pastel color like pale green, blue or pink. This is the traditional shabby-chic look. Feminine and floral are the features if you want to stay true to the style.
The brass bed will be just right, and you can have some light colored curtains, or off-white timer blinds (Eco-blinds are great and cheap, too) to add to your look.

cute ways to recycle antiques for a shabby chic room?
oaky so im dercoating my room shabby chic and was thinking, ya know,.. i could like use a old french door(skinny and tall door) and put cork board on it and use it like a photo board!!

There's lots of things you can do "shabby chic" You could give your existing furniture a "white wash" or refinish it... Provided that you have permission to do so.... Whitewash some "vintage" or vintage inspired picture frames.. Put friends/family or artistic prints inside in BLACK n WHITE. Do furniture in "crackle" finish which is available at most Home Improvement or Craft Stores and is really easy to do.. I did a small "telephone" table in crackle and it looked really cute as a small night stand! You could get an old window frame and hang inside or make it a "table" if you have room.. You just have to have some imagination.... You could do anything! You can get discarded furniture on garbage day in your town or hit up freecycle.org for furniture that people are getting rid of- you just need to be able to pick up the items...

I would make a registry and have people buy from that; put those big ticket items on there and see what people do. I would recommend registering for wine glasses and such, even if you don't use them in your everyday life. They would be good to have for entertaining purposes.

No, you're not wrong. I am an atheist and don't think there's anything wrong with OTHER people believing in god(s), if it comforts them or keeps them from hurting and killing people. The problem is when they expect or push ME to believe in their god(s). To ME, it wouldn't be a need or comfort.
I hope that loved ones will get better and be safe, etc. I just don't hope TOWARDS any being.

Wow….Ok…You have alot of stuff…Trophy's ectra taking up space. Put a shelf around the top of your room to get them out of the way and make your room look neater

Here is what I suggest
I don't suggest a theme ….I suggest you choose colors and textures you like. Your wall art and shelf items will suggest a theme and take on a life of their own. Choose colors that you won;t get bored with and can work with in the future. What you think is great today will not be your choices when your 17. Go neutral and let your bedding and area rug and items make the statement ..not the walls and floor.
***The shelf all the way around the room 12" to 18" down and the items spaced will not look cluttered. Is your bed a twin or double? I'll mock up a new drawing. Please measure the room show where the window is and aproximate size of the dressers. Are your 2 night stands the same?

Well u cud go online and go 2 target,thrift stores, u can make it. i just use my doll and shipping boxes i make clothes out of fabric. i have ur same problem with furniture. also check on ebay. hope this helps:)
