Yes it's normal when a relationship gets to the comfortable stage. The reason for it is just like you said…you have been together for a while now but yet he does still love you otherwise he wouldn't have sent you the text about him being awake and to see if you were ready by using those kinds of caring words. I think your situation is just fine as long as you are happy in your relationship. Who cares what others are thinking because they don't know everything that is really going on in yours and his life. So yes they are blind and there for they shouldn't add in their comments

I love looking at your crib options/ideas! So fun! I saw a bedroom set (for adults) that is a similar color scheme to what you like from Hooked on Houses and the Alex by Serena and Lily. I'll email you where I found it- but basically it's a white and light blue (like bright-light blue) with bursts of that pretty navy and little accents of red. It's a combo of your neutrals plus “boy” colors-and enough navy without painting the walls…it's not baby bedding but a fun room palette to look at.

When DD was that age and on a similar schedule, we considered 11 pm her bedtime and 8 pm just a last nap. BUT we essentially wanted her to wake up at 11, eat, and go right back to sleep. So I would recommend bathing her before the earlier "bedtime". Otherwise you are going to encourage her to be more awake at the 11 pm time, which you dont' really want now, and certainly won't want once she is ready to start dropping her first night feeding (which was around 3 months for us) and sleeping from 8 pm until at least 1-2 am.

We let DD nap in her bouncy chair until her last feeding, but I think that putting her in her crib will encourage better sleeping habits You will probably find that once she is asleep, you are able to have dim lights on at least (maybe small lamp that clips to the bed?) and make at least some noise w/o bothering her. Presumably where ever she is napping is also around noise (the tv?) and this isn't bothering her. As long as it is dark and quiet when she is falling asleep, she will get the idea that bed is dark. Again. you are going to have to deal with this in about a month anyway, so you might as well see how it works out now

My daughter has had her own pillow since she was about 13 months. She has a blanket in there but doesn't like to use it and it's mainly pushed to the side. She's still in her crib though – she'd be fine in a toddler bed/mattress on the floor but we're not in any rush as she's not close to being able to crawl out of a crib.

The maternity pics are beautiful! And thanks for the info on the car seat blanket things… we got a Carter's one at our shower, and I was super skeptical about it. It is one that lays behind the baby. Good to know! You are SO close girl!

say mama, thats a hard one, but the only way to that is to have the dad be in there at the same time, it might help. The dont start saying mama usaully until there one but i guess you can start at a young age,

I hate people not using my children's names, I found out what I was having both times, and called them the names we had chosen from then on. What really gets my goat is people shortening my kids names like they can't be bothered to pronounce the last syllable!

Babies take a lot more care and nurturing than do dogs. Dogs tend to prefer one person over another. Babies can learn to love both parents. Don't get stressed out about how she treats the dog, but you might want to rethink your whole relationship with her.

As a girl who spent a few months on bedrest with my last pregnancy, I can honestly say that the greatest treasure out there is a friend who will wash your floors and clean your bathrooms…. I was very blessed to have a friend volunteer to clean my house weekly and another couple of friends wash walls, baby bedding and baby clothes while I was admitted to the hospital to get my nursery all ready. I will never forget their gifts of love…

I can definitely appreciate the desire for some Harry Potter elves… or just a cleaning lady…..
