shabby chic bedroom ideas
Bedroom redecorating themes (for teenage girl)?
Help, I am WAY over my bedroom (very bright and colourful, girly) and am thinking about redecorating it. Recently my friend redecorated hers in a "french, shabby chic" sort of theme. I would like some ideas for themes that are "cool, simple and will make my friends jealous :p"
1.try very dark wood (but still brown... no hints of red or black)
2.add green walls (NOT dark... pick a medium-light color)
3.add white sheets and comforters
4.buy spearmint eucalyptus spray from bath and body works (this smells so clean and wonderful... it's also very relaxing. it rids you of stress. it really adds an atmosphere to the room very you feel calm and refreshed and happy. trust me... this spray goes with the decor and is worth buying. it comes as a pillow spray but you can spray it in the air.)
5. add a decorative piece in a corner... like an easel, one of those standing mirrors, a mannequin, those screens that you can change behind, or a guitar... pick one only. this will set the theme of the room.
6. add white curtains to your windows if you have them
7. this is nice with cream carpet or hardwood floors (with hardwood floors... buy a rug to place in the middle of the room
8. add a vase of fresh flowers
... try looking at walmart and target for cheap furniture, curtains, carpets/rugs, paint, etc.

Vintage bedroom? Need ideas for furniture & deco?
I'm going down the vintage/shabby/chic road for my bedroom. Basically old style, so from any era really...
I need ideas on furniture, things to put in the room and paint/wall paper..
Also, anything else that would make my bedroom unique like records pinned to the ceiling or handmade things...

It sounds like you're more into the 50's era if you want to use records in your decor. The link below has some ideas for 50's decor. A retro 50's look would be called Rockabilly. If you really want the pastel colors and super fem shabby chic look, then there's another link for that.
