i'll be renting a mother-in-law suite and the walls are oak wood paneling. i want to add decor to brighten up the space but i'm stumped because painting isn't an option (since i'm only renting for a few months) and i'm unsure about what colors to use. most sites suggest "americana" but i'm not a fan of moose heads and native american prints. i like pastels and the whole "shabby chic" thing (i love quilting). any suggestions?! oh and there is a dresser in the bedroom that is a distressed powder blue color. any ideas that bring that into play would be great. thanks!

I have this gorgeous shabby chic cream dresser with little glass doors and shelves and its originally for a kitchen but i was thinking of putting it in my shabby chic/vintage style bedroom too add a bit of individuality, im in two minds though.
