The Shabby Chic home

How do I start an online shop?

I'm really in to making shabby chic arts and craft decorations for the home, I make door stops, vintage style aprons, table cloths etc. and I think they would sell well but where do I even begin when making an online shop?

I assume this site is yours. There are a few things you'll need to do to get set up running a site.

First, it's pretty clear you are using a simple blogger.com account for this website. For your store, you're going to want to use a much more versatile and professional CMS. If you like the blog look and feel, use WordPress (which is easy to use). If you want something different, use Drupal (which is a little trickier). To get started, both have a wide array of themes available online, most of them for free. There is a ton of information online on both Content Management Systems.

Then pair your CMS with e-commerce software. Something like Fortune3 would work well and should easily integrate with your site.

Lastly, you'll need a way to take the payments customers are sending via your e-commerce software. I'd recommend a more inclusive company, such as BluePay.
