shabby chic bedroom furniture
Im re-doing my bedroom and...?
I really want it to be urban-y and chic with a little bit of a natural vibe (wood and metal nature things). I want to paint the walls gray-i know it sounds depressing but the shade gonna be medium and i have tons of windows in the room so i should be ok. and i want a wooden coffee table with a leather sofa on one side of it and two matching chairs on the other side, with the table on top of a black and white patterned rug. I really like the way i imagine it in my head (i also found a picture that is almost exactly what i want-it came from one of those paint sellers.
The only problem is that i have no idea where to buy the furniture, etc. that i want. based on the description does anyone have any ideas. so far ive tried shabby chic (a little too romantic) and urban outfitters, which had a lot of stuff i liked.

The way you imagine it in your head is very specific, and as a designer I know that is a Good Thing! However, try to expand your ideas at this point and not decide on exact wall colors until you have all the rest of the elements of your envisioned style in place. How to get a shabby chic bedroom?
A few years ago I got some new bedroom furniture which is really modern and wooden but I have really gone off it and want more of a shabby chic look. I don't want to ask my parents for more furniture because the furniture I have isn't that old. Any ideas of what I can do to create this look without buying completely new furniture?
Slip cover your headboard, cover it in foam or quilt batting and make a canvas or bleached floral fabric, cover. Move your dresser into the closet. get glass tops for your nightstands and slipcover them in a coordinating fabric. Change your lamps, your mirror andd artwork to a shabby chic style.
