Don't worry about it. It depends on babys. If she is healthy it's ok with that. Maybe she senses your anxiety so that she can't sleep so long.

I myself am a mom of 4 and do co-sleep currently with our 11 month old and co-slept with all of our kids for the first 2-3 years. Co-sleeping helps to reduce the risks of SIDS but SHOULDNT be done by everyone. Its only recommended for breastfeeding moms because you are more in tune with your baby's cries. I do breastfeed and it is very conveinent to have your baby in the bed. If you drinkor smoke or are a heavy sleeper you shouldnt co-sleep and the baby should sleep beside the mom not the dad or between mom and dad. I know many mom who would be scared and I was as well with the 1st but I would be way more scared to not have my baby right there.but you are right that you lose a lot of sleep that co-sleeping because you are always " on guard"

I made a pot of coffee once without actually putting the coffee grounds in. I guess it helped to clean the coffee pot out though. when I was 40 weeks pregnant last winter I started my car and went to brush the snow off of it and accidentally locked my door while the car was running. I managed not to run out of gas though!

I think a Treasure Island room would be precious around the rug that you uploaded! But I think a planetary thing would be cool, too. You can get stars that light up and I believe that as a kid I would have loved the feeling of sleeping in a room surrounded by stars.

I LOVE sock monkeys. I saw one website with sock monkey items in every color of the rainbow and that were dressed in certain themes, etc. I like the old-fashioned vintage styles. You just can't improve on the original design in my opinion.
Curious George is pretty cool, too but there's a whole different color scheme to work with. It's pretty bright with yellow and red as well as the brown.

Hi! Same same same exact situation.. my hubby and I are 25. We’ve been married for a year last July.. I’m in my 3rd year teaching. We, too, are starting to get the baby fever. I am stressing it’s not just me but my husband too! Our parents are starting to get antsy over it, too, but I think they just want something to fuss over. I know we’re emotionally ready for a baby, but not financially. At first when we married, we were going to wait 6 years until we were 30 to start trying. Then, we kept saying, “Oh, maybe in 4 years.. maybe in 2… maybe we’re ready right now.” After talking extensively about having a baby, we decided that we feel there’s nothing missing from our relationship. It’s us and the kitties.. when we feel like there’s something missing from our family, then we’ll know it’s time to have a baby. That kind of curbed our excitement for a bit. Not to say we still don’t check out baby bedding when we take a trip to Target…

My daughter has a "family bed" and has done a lot of research on co-sleeping.
She has not found one recorded case of squashing a baby.
As long as there are no alcohol or drugs involved it should be a safe and happy sleep for everybody.
BUT—kittens are much smaller than babies-maybe the kitten should have a box or basket at the end of your bed until a bit bigger.

We recently listed some things on Craigs and recieved messages that the same person wanted to buy two of them 1) an antique iron rite and 2) hawaiian baby bedding!!?? That was confusing to me. The email was similar…send me your full addresss and check, I'll have movers come, blah blah. Hey! Maybe it's the same guy!

i'm so happy you got a sewing machine. i love mine, a friend of mine got it for me as she and i made everett's baby bedding. do you remember sue robins? she is ty's mom, anyway from the very beginning her and i have sewn together. she has taught me so much. i love it. i haven't been able to make as much as i wanted, but time will come and i'll be able to sew much more. you remember your diaper/wipes holder thing. ever since you showed me that, i've wanted to make one and i want to try and make some of those luvie's that rachel's sister emily makes. the list is long, but it is truly fun and relaxing to sew. i hope you enjoy. curtains are also a fun thing to sew, easy and also cheaper to make than buy. it's also cool sewing because you can pick out your own fabric, and make your curtains. and no-one will have it, but funny story…sue and i made everett's baby bedding. well i thought i was original, i went to the fabric store and picked out everything i wanted, made the bedding and loved it. than i'm at kirkland's with jenn and jeanie…well what do you know there's a throw pillow the exact material of her bedding. i was so bummed, but nonetheless it was still a great time with sue and i love looking at her bedding, knowing my hands and my friends hands made that…along with my awesome sewing machine. love you girl and happy birthday.

My goodness; reading this entire list of goods that one might want/need or think that they must acquire would have served as a sort of — pardon me here — birth control had I read it “way back then.” However, I see some interesting and very desirable items, too. And granted, our traveling babies are so much safer now in motor vehicles when hugged securely by a well designed car seat rather than on mommy's lap between her and the dashboard. Well, I suppose shopping for all that gorgeous baby bedding and furniture would be a lot of fun for the expectant parents. Now about rubber baby buggy bumpers…
